Managing your ileostomy with the right appliances
To manage your ileostomy you will use a drainable pouch. For this type of appliance the bottom of the bag is open, which allows it to be emptied regularly.
Having a large drainable outlet (7cm), this enables an easier cleaning of the outlet and emptying of the pouch. On our Flexima® ranges, an integrated soft Roll'up clamp is available. Our ileo pouches of the Proxima® ranges can be closed with a resuable rigid clamp or a single use soft adhesive clamp.
If you experience high output, you can use any of our high-flow pouches in both one-piece and two-piece systems. For more comfort, your high flow pouch can be connected to a Flow Collector providing a safe answer to the high output indications.

One-piece systems:
Flexima®
The Flexima® one-piece is a large easy to use range. The drainable pouches are provided with a water and oil repellant high performance filter for a low risk of pouch ballooning. High flow pouches are also available in this range as well as the Flow Collector system.
Flexima® Active
The Flexima® Active range is for patients requiring more comfort. Its highly flexible skin protector gives you the comfort of a second skin*. The integrated high performance filter on the drainable pouches lowers the risk of pouch ballooning.

Proxima® / Proxima® +
Proxima® is a range of pouches that matches to patient needs. Its compact design provides a maximum of comfort and discretion on a daily basis. The drainable pouches have a large 7 cm outlet for an easier emptying and cleaning. This range offers the opportunity to chose between pouches with or without filter as well as with standard skin protector or a border skin protector for a broad wearing time. The pouches can be closed with two types of clamps, the soft clamps for more comfort or the rigid clamps which can be reused.

Flexima® 3S
Flexima® 3S is a 2-piece mechanical coupling system with a patented guiding system for easy pouch positioning right from the start.
The 3 S stand for:

The drainable pouches with integrated high performance filter are available in 3 different sizes, mini, midi and maxi, that have to be connected to either a flat or convex Flexima® 3S base plate. High flow pouches are also available in this range and can be connected to the Flow Collector system.
Flexima® Key
Flexima® Key is a two-piece adhesive coupling system which provides a precise and simple positioning of the drainable pouch onto the base plate thanks to its guiding system.
The Flexima® Key Roll'up pouches with integrated high performance filter are available in 3 sizes, mini, midi and maxi. Additionally, you can choose the Flexima® Key Maxi pouch with funnel-shaped easy to open and close outlet which can be connected to the Flow Collector. This pouch is suitable for patients with low dexterity.
The base plates are available in flat and convex version which provides an extra flexibility.
Flexima® Key 2-piece drainable pouches & base plates
Proxima® 2 / Proxima® 2+
This 2-piece range guarentees a coupling with minimum pressure on the abdomen. Thanks to the audible click, you'll be assure that your pouch will stay in place securely. You can choose between a full hydrocolloid base plate or a combined hydrocolloid & acrylic tape border for extended weartime. While the Proxima® 2 drainable pouch offers a washable micro perforated material on the skin side of the pouch, the Proxima® 2+ is composed of a soft non-woven material on both sides of the pouch for more comfort.The pouches can be closed with two types of clamps, the soft clamps for more comfort or the rigid clamps which can be reused.
